Ahoy Mateys! Join us in celebrating National Safe Boating Week here at the C. V. Starr Community Center. We will have a special program from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on Saturday May 19th 2018. We invite you to come and join Life Jacket Safety Training in the Lap Pool, Build a boat to race around our Lazy River, and have fun with the Lifeguards as they put on a Boat Whistle Challenge outside on our North Lawn. The fee for this event is $5, but we have tons of scholarships available through the Division of Boats and Waterways Grant so just come by and fill out an application. Later in the day join in on a Kayak Class in the pool!!! Quick Start Your Kayak 3:00 pm-6:00 pm for kayakers ages 12 and up. The fee for this class is $45 and an additional $35 if you need to rent a kayak and there are also scholarships available for this class! Quick Start Your Kayak does require pre-registration by Wednesday May 16th in order to participate.
